Create a chat mat placemat and write fun questions on each mat from our "Dinner Dialogue" to create conversation at dinner.

Take a piece of construction paper for each family member to decorate and then choose a question to put on each persons mat. At dinner, ask your chosen question and have each family member give their answer.

For children 10 and under:
Have each child draw a picture of your family and include illustrations of their favorite things.
For children over 10:
Create a "ChatMat" - write a few questions on each Mat from our Dinner Dialogues to create fun and engaging conversation each day. Choose from this list to your your child's "ChatMat" and enjoy hearing their answers!
1) Ask your children "What are you passionate about?"
2) Make up trivia about each person at the table and see if the children can guess who it is.
3) Go around the table and allow everyone to share their high of the day and their low of the day.
4) If you were writing a newspaper article about your day, what would your headline be?
5) Word of the Day? Pick a word and the family discusses that word.
6) What do you like most about your friends?
7) If you could invite a famous person to dinner with you who would it be and why?
8) If you were going to an island and could take three things with you, what would they be?
9) Ask me a question, any question!
10) If you had a genie in a bottle, what would your three wishes be?
