Meat Loaf Burgers with Tomato Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 (14.5-oz) cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Shape beef into 6 patties, and sprinkle with steak seasoning.
  2. Cook patties in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Remove from skillet, and wipe skillet clean.
  3. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat; add flour, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomatoes and broth; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in Worcestershire.
  5. Return patties to skillet; cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 lb red potatoes, cut in half
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Bring potatoes and water to cover to a boil; simmer 12 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain potatoes; pat dry.
  2. Toss potatoes with oil, salt and pepper; arrange on a rimmed baking sheet. Smash potatoes gently using the heel of your hand or a spatula.
  3. Bake potatoes 8 to 10 minutes per side or until outsides are crisp.
