Chocolate Irish Cream Cake
Ingredients
- 1 (18.25-oz) box chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1¼ cups Irish cream liqueur, divided
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1¼ cups powdered sugar
- Optional toppings: green sprinkles, chocolate chips, or fresh mint sprigs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F; grease a Bundt pan with shortening.
- Combine cake mix, eggs, 1 cup liqueur, and oil in a bowl. Mix on medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cake cool 10 to 15 minutes, and then invert onto a cake plate.
- Whisk together powdered sugar and remaining ¼ cup liqueur. Pour over cake. Cut into slices to serve.
- Makes 12 to 14 servings.
