Easy Beef and Macaroni

Garlic and Pecan Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 (15-oz) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1½ cups frozen whole kernel corn, thawed and patted dry
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg elbow macaroni

Instructions

  1. Cook beef and onion in a Dutch oven over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to pot.
  2. Stir in water, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, corn, brown sugar, and Worcestershire; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Add pasta, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen cut green beans
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook green beans according to package directions.
  2. Cook nuts and garlic in butter in a small skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Toss with green beans in a bowl, and sprinkle with salt.
