Grilled Steak Salad with Homemade Ranch

Ingredients

  • ½ lb top sirloin steak, trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp salt-free steak seasoning
  • 1 ear corn, husk and silks removed
  • 1 (10-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
  • 6 slices center-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup halved grape tomatoes
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp reduced-fat buttermilk
  • ½ Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or use ½ tsp dried parsley)
  • ½ Tbsp chopped fresh dill (or use ½ tsp dried dill)
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • ⅛ tsp garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Sprinkle steak with steak seasoning.
  3. Grill steak, covered with grill lid, 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Grill corn 5 minutes per side or until tender.
  4. Let steak stand 10 minutes before cutting into 1-inch pieces. Cool corn, and cut kernels from cob.
  5. Toss together lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, onion, and corn in a bowl.
  6. Whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, parsley, dill, lemon juice, garlic salt, and pepper.
  7. Drizzle desired amount of dressing over salad; toss. Divide between serving plates, and top with steak.
