Grilled Steak Salad with Homemade Ranch
Ingredients
- ½ lb top sirloin steak, trimmed
- 1 Tbsp salt-free steak seasoning
- 1 ear corn, husk and silks removed
- 1 (10-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
- 6 slices center-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup halved grape tomatoes
- ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp reduced-fat buttermilk
- ½ Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or use ½ tsp dried parsley)
- ½ Tbsp chopped fresh dill (or use ½ tsp dried dill)
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- ⅛ tsp garlic salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Sprinkle steak with steak seasoning.
- Grill steak, covered with grill lid, 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Grill corn 5 minutes per side or until tender.
- Let steak stand 10 minutes before cutting into 1-inch pieces. Cool corn, and cut kernels from cob.
- Toss together lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, onion, and corn in a bowl.
- Whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, parsley, dill, lemon juice, garlic salt, and pepper.
- Drizzle desired amount of dressing over salad; toss. Divide between serving plates, and top with steak.
