BLT Steak Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing
Garlic-Herb BreadIngredients
- 4 slices center-cut bacon
- 1½ lb top sirloin steak
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 (9-oz) pkg chopped leafy romaine lettuce
- 1 pint grape tomatoes
- ½ cup refrigerated light blue cheese dressing
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat 8 minutes or until crisp; drain on paper towels, and crumble.
- Rub steak with oil and seasoning; cook in bacon drippings 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
- Let steak rest 5 minutes; cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Combine lettuce, tomatoes and bacon in a serving bowl.
- Top with steak; drizzle with dressing.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) loaf French bread
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp bottled minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat broiler.
- Slice bread in half lengthwise.
- Stir together oil, garlic and seasoning; spread on cut sides of bread.
- Broil 1 to 2 minutes or until browned and crisp.
