BLT Steak Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing

Ingredients

  • 4 slices center-cut bacon
  • 1½ lb top sirloin steak
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 2 (9-oz) pkg chopped leafy romaine lettuce
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • ½ cup refrigerated light blue cheese dressing

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat 8 minutes or until crisp; drain on paper towels, and crumble.
  2. Rub steak with oil and seasoning; cook in bacon drippings 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
  3. Let steak rest 5 minutes; cut into 1-inch cubes.
  4. Combine lettuce, tomatoes and bacon in a serving bowl.
  5. Top with steak; drizzle with dressing.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) loaf French bread
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp bottled minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning 

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Slice bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Stir together oil, garlic and seasoning; spread on cut sides of bread.
  4. Broil 1 to 2 minutes or until browned and crisp.
