Chicken Sausage Ziti

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg ziti
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg mild Italian chicken sausage
  • 1 (24-oz) jar tomato-basil pasta sauce
  • 1 (3.5-oz) jar pesto
  • 1 (15-oz) carton part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Cook ziti according to package directions; drain and return to pot.
  3. Meanwhile, remove sausage from casings.
  4. Brown sausage in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 5 minutes, breaking up sausage with a wooden spoon.
  5. Stir together ziti, sausage, pasta sauce, pesto, ricotta, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
  6. Spoon mixture into 6 greased individual ramekins ora greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese.
  7. Broil 5 minutes or until cheese is browned and pasta is bubbly.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (9-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
  • ¾ cup Caesar croutons (from a 5-oz pkg)
  • ⅓ cup refrigerated Caesar dressing
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss all ingredients in a serving bowl.
