Chicken Sausage Ziti
Easy Caesar SaladIngredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg ziti
- 1 (16-oz) pkg mild Italian chicken sausage
- 1 (24-oz) jar tomato-basil pasta sauce
- 1 (3.5-oz) jar pesto
- 1 (15-oz) carton part-skim ricotta cheese
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat broiler.
- Cook ziti according to package directions; drain and return to pot.
- Meanwhile, remove sausage from casings.
- Brown sausage in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 5 minutes, breaking up sausage with a wooden spoon.
- Stir together ziti, sausage, pasta sauce, pesto, ricotta, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
- Spoon mixture into 6 greased individual ramekins ora greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese.
- Broil 5 minutes or until cheese is browned and pasta is bubbly.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (9-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
- ¾ cup Caesar croutons (from a 5-oz pkg)
- ⅓ cup refrigerated Caesar dressing
- ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss all ingredients in a serving bowl.
