Pepper Steak with Mushrooms
Skillet CauliflowerIngredients
- ¾ lb top sirloin steak, partially frozen (or use London broil steak)
- 1 red bell pepper, cut lengthwise into strips
- 1 (8-oz) pkg mushrooms, quartered
- ¾ cup chicken broth (or use beef broth)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp cold water
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Instructions
- Cut steak across the grain into ¼-inch-wide strips.
- Place all ingredients except cornstarch, cold water, and parsley in a 4-quart slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hours or until beef is tender.
- Increase heat to HIGH. Whisk together cornstarch and cold water; stir into cooker.
- Cover and cook 15 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste; sprinkle with parsley.

- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 (16-oz) pkg frozen cauliflower florets
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- ¼ tsp garlic salt
- ¼ tsp lemon-pepper seasoning
Side Dish Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet; add cauliflower and remaining ingredients.
- Cover and cook over medium-high heat 12 minutes or until cauliflower is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Uncover and cook 2 minutes.
