Buffalo-Style Turkey Burgers
Garlic Sweet Potato FriesIngredients
- 2 Tbsp hot sauce
- 1 Tbsp ghee
- 1½ Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ¾ lb ground turkey
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp avocado oil
- ¼ cup organic olive oil mayonnaise
- ½ Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or use ½ tsp dried)
- ½ Tbsp chopped fresh dill (or use ½ tsp dried)
- 6 iceberg lettuce leaves
- 1 small tomato, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp thinly sliced red onion
Instructions
- Heat hot sauce, ghee, and ½ Tbsp lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring often.
- Combine ground turkey, 2 tsp hot sauce mixture, ⅛ tsp each salt and pepper in a medium bowl; shape mixture into 2 patties.
- Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat; add patties.
- Cook 5 to 7 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
- Meanwhile, combine mayonnaise, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, parsley and dill.
- Arrange lettuce leaves in 2 stacks on a flat work surface.
- Top with patties, remaining hot sauce mixture, mayonnaise, tomato and onion.
- Wrap lettuce around burgers; serve immediately.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 small sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into ½-inch-thick wedges
- 1½ Tbsp avocado oil
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 small cloves garlic, minced
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Cut sweet potatoes into ½-inch-thick wedges.
- Combine potato wedges, oil and salt on a rimmed baking sheet; toss.
- Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until tender, stirring once.
- Toss with garlic while hot.
