Ground Beef, Asparagus and Basil Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 lb asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 (10-oz) pkg matchstick carrots
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • ½ cup thinly sliced fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  2. Stir in asparagus, carrots, green onions and garlic; cook, stirring, 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in soy sauce and chili sauce; cook 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in basil.

  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package directions; stir in green onions and season to taste.
