Cheddar Turkey Burgers with Apples

Ingredients

  • 6 (4-oz) frozen organic turkey burgers (such as Applegate Organics)
  • 6 (0.67-oz) slices reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • 6 Tbsp roasted garlic mayonnaise (such as Hellmann's)
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh sage
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 6 (2-oz) whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 1½ cups baby arugula

Instructions

  1. Cook burgers according to package directions for stovetop, topping with cheese during last 2 minutes of cooking.
  2. Core apple, and cut into thin rings. Combine mayonnaise, sage, and lemon juice. Spread over cut sides of buns. Serve burgers, apple rings, and arugula on buns.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
  • ½ cup sweetened dried cranberries
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss together all ingredients in a bowl.
