Mexican Mole Chili

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb lean ground beef
  • ½ (8-oz) pkg diced onions
  • 1½ Tbsp jarred minced garlic
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can zesty chili-style diced tomatoes (such as Del Monte)
  • ½ cup dark beer
  • ½ oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1½ Tbsp Mexican seasoning (such as McCormick)
  • ¼ cup reduced-fat sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cook beef, onion, and garlic in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until beef is browned and crumbly.
  2. Add tomatoes, beer, chocolate, and seasoning; reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes, stirring until chocolate is melted. Serve with sour cream.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (6-oz) loaf bakery cornbread, cut into large cubes
  • 1 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp jarred minced garlic

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss together all ingredients, and arrange in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until golden, stirring once.
