Crispy Onion Rings with Spicy Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 6 green onions, finely chopped and divided
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 sesame seed hamburger buns, split
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg tricolor coleslaw
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp Sriracha hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Combine beef, 2 chopped onions, soy sauce, oil, sugar, ginger, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Shape mixture into 6 patties.
  2. Grill patties, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Grill buns, cut sides down, 1 minute or until toasted.
  3. Stir together coleslaw, 4 chopped onions, mayonnaise, and Sriracha in a large bowl. Serve burgers on buns with desired amount of coleslaw.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg frozen onion rings
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake onion rings according to package directions.
  2. Whisk together mayonnaise, chili sauce, and green onions in a small bowl. Serve sauce with onion rings.
