Fries with Lemon-Garlic Dipping SauceIngredients
- ½ cup butter, softened and divided
- 3 sweet onions, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- 3 Tbsp barbecue sauce
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 12 slices Texas toast
- 12 slices Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onion, and cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender and golden brown.
- Stir together mayonnaise, mustard, and barbecue sauce in a small bowl.
- Stir together beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl; shape into 6 thin patties. Cook patties in a large skillet over medium heat until done; remove from skillet, and wipe skillet clean.
- Spread mayonnaise mixture on 1 side of each toast slice. Top 6 slices each with 1 slice cheese, onions, patties, and 1 slice cheese. Cover with 6 bread slices, sauce side down.
- Spread outsides of sandwiches with 6 Tbsp butter. Cook sandwiches in skillet over medium heat until golden brown.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (32-oz) pkg frozen French fries
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp smoked paprika (or use other paprika)
Side Dish Instructions
- Bake fries according to package directions; season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir together mayonnaise, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and paprika. Serve with fries.
