Spicy Garlic Potato Wedges

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb ground beef
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ Tbsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp ground cumin
  • ⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ (6-count) pkg frozen garlic Texas toast
  • ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly. Drain and return to skillet.
  2. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, and cinnamon. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Meanwhile bake garlic toast according to package directions; divide between 2 plates. Top each with meat mixture, and sprinkle with cheese.

  • ¾ lb small red potatoes, cut into ½-inch wedges
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss potatoes with oil, chili powder, and garlic powder. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Place in a single layer on a lightly greased rimmed baking sheet. Bake 30 minutes or until potatoes are browned and tender.
