Open-Faced Cheesy Sloppy Joes
Spicy Garlic Potato WedgesIngredients
- ¾ lb ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- ½ Tbsp chili powder
- ¼ tsp ground cumin
- ⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ (6-count) pkg frozen garlic Texas toast
- ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly. Drain and return to skillet.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, and cinnamon. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened; season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Meanwhile bake garlic toast according to package directions; divide between 2 plates. Top each with meat mixture, and sprinkle with cheese.

- ¾ lb small red potatoes, cut into ½-inch wedges
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss potatoes with oil, chili powder, and garlic powder. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Place in a single layer on a lightly greased rimmed baking sheet. Bake 30 minutes or until potatoes are browned and tender.
