Steakhouse Salad
Ingredients
- 1½ lb flank steak
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ¾ cup crumbled blue cheese, divided
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp half-and-half
- 2 tsp white vinegar
- 1 (10-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 (10-oz) pkg spinach
- 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
- ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. Cook steak in hot oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat 2 minutes per side or until browned.
- Transfer skillet to oven, and bake 10 minutes or to desired doneness. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
- Meanwhile, whisk together 6 Tbsp cheese, mayonnaise, half-and-half, and vinegar.
- Divide lettuce and spinach among 6 plates; top with tomatoes, onion, and steak. Drizzle with dressing, and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
