Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg fettuccine
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (see Note)
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, sauté garlic in melted butter in a large saucepan or skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Stir in cream; cook, whisking, until thick and bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat; whisk in half of cheese until melted. Add pasta, and toss.
  4. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
