Szechuan Beef and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 1½ lb top sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper
- 2 Tbsp dark sesame oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 (8-oz) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- ½ cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
Instructions
- Toss together steak, cornstarch, soy sauce and crushed red pepper; let stand 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet or wok over medium heat; add garlic. Sauté 1 minute or until tender; increase heat to medium-high. Add beef; stir-fry 6 to 8 minutes or until beef is browned.
- Add water chestnuts, broth, and broccoli; cover and cook 3 minutes or until sauce is thickened and broccoli is tender.
