Cheesy Beef Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg wide egg noodles
  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (28-oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in tomatoes and seasoning; cook, stirring, 5 minutes.
  3. Stir together cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, and green onions in a medium bowl.
  4. Place half of noodles in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Top with half of meat and half of cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
  5. Cover and bake 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (10-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 (5-oz) pkg garlic croutons
  • ½ cup Italian dressing

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss together all ingredients in a bowl just before serving.
