Ingredients

  • ½ (16-oz) pkg ground mild Italian sausage
  • ½ (3.5-oz) pkg pepperoni, chopped
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • ½ (14.5-oz) can no-salt-added diced tomatoes
  • ½ (6-oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage, pepperoni, onion, and garlic in a large Dutch oven 8 to 10 minutes or until sausage is browned and crumbly; drain well, and return to pot.
  2. Stir in broth, tomato sauce, tomatoes, tomato paste, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in cheese just before serving.
