Bite-Size Beef Tips

Egg Noodles and Broccoli with Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 lb boneless chuck roast, trimmed and cut into bite-size pieces (or use beef round steak, cubed)
  • 2½ Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning, divided
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle beef with 1 Tbsp seasoning. Sauté beef in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until browned.
  2. Transfer beef to a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Add onion, broth, tomato paste, garlic, vinegar, and 1½ Tbsp steak seasoning; stir gently to mix.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hours or until beef is very tender. Serve beef over noodles, if desired.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 8 oz medium egg noodles
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 (10-oz) boxes frozen broccoli with cheese sauce

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Add butter, stirring to melt. Season with salt to taste.
  2. Microwave broccoli according to package directions.
