Family Night Pepperoni Calzones
Peaches 'N Grapes BowlIngredients
- 2 (15-oz) pkg already-rolled-out pizza dough (or use 2 [13.8-oz] cans refrigerated pizza dough
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 (24-oz) jar pasta sauce
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 (5-oz) carton shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 (6-oz) pkg pepperoni
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Unroll each portion of dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut dough into 4 portions total. Roll out each portion into a large round.
- Brush each with oil; smear with a thin layer of pasta sauce. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and Parmesan.
- Top each with pepperoni and mozzarella cheese, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides; fold over. Use a little water on your fingers to seal each calzone. Crimp edges to seal.
- Place calzones on a large lightly greased or parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Cut 1-inch slits in the top of each roll at 2-inch intervals. Brush tops with butter.
- Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown; let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
- Heat remaining pasta sauce in a small bowl in microwave 1 to 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated; serve for dipping.
