Kid-Style Turkey-Pesto Panini
Fancy Fries and ApplesIngredients
- 12 slices bacon
- 1 (8-oz) jar pesto
- Mayonnaise
- 12 slices crusty bread (such as ciabatta, or use five-grain bread)
- ¾ lb thin sliced deli turkey
- 12 large thin slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain. Preheat panini press.
- Spread desired amount of pesto and a little mayonnaise on each slice of bread.
- Top 6 slices of bread with turkey, cheese, and bacon. Cover with 6 slices of bread. Coat outsides of sandwiches with olive oil cooking spray.
- Cook on panini press 2 to 4 minutes or until golden and cheese is melted. Cut sandwiches in half.

- 1 (28-oz) pkg frozen steak fries
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp garlic salt
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 2 apples
Side Dish Instructions
- Bake fries according to package directions. Combine oil, garlic salt, salt, and pepper in a tiny bowl; drizzle slowly over hot fries, and toss.
- Chop apples just before serving.
