Mushroom and Gravy Smothered Cheeseburgers
Ingredients
- 6 (5.4-oz) ground beef patties
- 1 tsp dried crushed rosemary
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 6 slices Havarti cheese (or use Swiss or mozzarella)
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Instructions
- Sprinkle patties with rosemary, garlic salt, and pepper. Drizzle with Worcestershire.
- Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Top with cheese; let stand until melted.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; add mushrooms and garlic. Season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.
- Add flour; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Add broth; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened. Serve burgers on buns with mushroom mixture.
