Grilled Chicken with Hoisin-Ginger Sauce
Steamed Rice and Snow PeasIngredients
- 3 Tbsp sweet and sour sauce
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1½ Tbsp hoisin sauce
- ⅛ tsp ground ginger
- ⅛ tsp hot sauce
- ¾ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Instructions
- Stir together sweet and sour sauce, water, garlic, hoisin sauce, ginger, and hot sauce in a saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring often. Reduce heat, and simmer 1 minute, stirring often.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat. Cut chicken in half crosswise, and pound to an even thickness in a zip-top plastic bag using the heel of your hand or a meat mallet.
- Grill chicken, covered, 12 to 15 minutes or until done, brushing with sauce during last 5 minutes.
- Slice chicken, and serve over hot cooked rice.

- ¾ cup long-grain white rice
- ½ (12-oz) pkg frozen snow peas
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook rice according to package directions.
- Steam snow peas according to package directions; season with salt and pepper to taste.
