Loaded Taco Grilled Cheese
French Fries and Lime-Chipotle SauceIngredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (1-oz) envelope taco seasoning mix
- ⅓ cup water
- 12 slices Texas toast
- 12 slices pepper-Jack cheese (or use other sliced cheese)
- 3 avocados, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
- ½ cup butter, softened
Instructions
- Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Add taco seasoning mix and water to skillet; cook over medium heat until thickened and most of liquid is evaporated.
- Top 6 bread slices each with 1 cheese slice and desired amount of taco meat. Arrange avocado and tomato slices over meat; top with cheese. Cover with remaining bread. Spread softened butter on outsides of sandwiches.
- Cook sandwiches, in batches, in a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat 4 to 5 minutes per side or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- ½ tsp ground chipotle chile pepper
- 1 (32-oz) pkg frozen seasoned French fries
Side Dish Instructions
- Stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, and chipotle pepper.
- Bake fries according to package directions; serve with mayonnaise mixture.
