Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Season salmon with salt and pepper, if desired. Grill, covered, on lightly greased grill grate, 4 to 5 minutes per side or until fish flakes with a fork. Break salmon into large pieces.
Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions, adding asparagus during last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain, reserving ¼ cup pasta water, and return pasta to pot.
Reduce heat to medium-low. Grate zest and squeeze juice from lemon half into pot. Stir in spreadable cheese and enough pasta water to make a thin sauce. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Gently stir in salmon.
