Peanut Butter Swirl Bars

Clock

Ingredients

  • 1½ (16.5-oz) pkg refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough portions
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg peanut butter sandwich cookies
  • 1 (18.4-oz) box chocolate fudge brownie mix
  • ⅔ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 large eggs, divided
  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange cookie dough in a single layer in a lightly greased foil-lined 13-x 9-inch baking pan. Using floured hands, press dough together to completely cover bottom of pan.
  2. Place sandwich cookies in a single layer over dough.
  3. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions using oil, water, and 2 eggs; pour over cookies.
  4. Beat cream cheese and sugar in a bowl with a mixer at medium speed until smooth. Add 1 egg, peanut butter, and vanilla, beating until blended.
  5. Drop mixture by tablespoonfuls over brownie batter; swirl batters together with a knife.
  6. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cover pan lightly with foil to prevent excess browning, if necessary. Cool completely before cutting.
