Baked Meatballs in Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb lean ground beef 
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 1½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ⅛ tsp crushed red pepper
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ (24-oz) jar marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F; line a baking sheet with foil. Place a wire rack over foil.
  2. Stir together all ingredients except marinara sauce. Shape into 1-inch balls; place on wire rack. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until centers are no longer pink.
  3. Transfer meatballs to a skillet; add marinara sauce, and cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until sauce is thoroughly heated.



Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (10-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
  • 6 Tbsp refrigerated light Caesar dressing
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ⅔ cup classic Caesar croutons

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss together all ingredients in a medium bowl.
