Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F. Stir together oats, brown sugar, ½ cup nuts, cherries, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
Whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla in a bowl until blended. Stir in melted butter. Add egg mixture to oat mixture, stirring until blended.
Arrange apples in a lightly greased 11-x 7-inch baking dish. Pour oatmeal mixture over apples. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup nuts over mixture. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until center is set. Serve warm or at room temperature.
