Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 (1-oz) envelope Ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 6 hamburger buns, split
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook beef, mushrooms, and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in dressing mix, broth, and sour cream. Cook until slightly thickened. Spoon into a bowl; cover, and refrigerate up to 3 days.
  2. Preheat broiler. Spread butter on cut sides of buns. Place on a baking sheet, and broil until toasted.
  3. Reheat beef mixture in microwave until thoroughly heated. Serve beef mixture on toasted buns with cheese.
