Turkey-Pesto Panini
Seasoned Steak Fries and Apples
Ingredients
- 1 (12-oz) pkg bacon
- 1 jar rustic basil pesto
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 (6-count) pkg ciabatta rolls
- 1 lb thin sliced less sodium deli turkey
- 12 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain on paper towels.
- Stir together pesto and mayonnaise in a bowl. Spread mixture over cut sides of rolls.
- Layer bacon, cheese, and turkey over pesto mixture on roll bottoms. Cover with roll tops, spread side down. Coat outsides of sandwiches with cooking spray.
- Cook sandwiches, in batches, in a large skillet (or a panini press) over medium heat, pressing sandwiches down using a heavy skillet, 3 to 4 minutes per side or until toasted.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 (28-oz) pkg frozen steak cut French fries
- 3 Honeycrisp apples, sliced
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook fries according to package directions; sprinkle with seasoning. Serve apples on each plate.
