Turkey-Pesto Panini

Seasoned Steak Fries and Apples

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg bacon
  • 1 jar rustic basil pesto
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (6-count) pkg ciabatta rolls
  • 1 lb thin sliced less sodium deli turkey
  • 12 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain on paper towels.
  2. Stir together pesto and mayonnaise in a bowl. Spread mixture over cut sides of rolls.
  3. Layer bacon, cheese, and turkey over pesto mixture on roll bottoms. Cover with roll tops, spread side down. Coat outsides of sandwiches with cooking spray.
  4. Cook sandwiches, in batches, in a large skillet (or a panini press) over medium heat, pressing sandwiches down using a heavy skillet, 3 to 4 minutes per side or until toasted.



Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 (28-oz) pkg frozen steak cut French fries
  • 3 Honeycrisp apples, sliced

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook fries according to package directions; sprinkle with seasoning. Serve apples on each plate.
