Ham and Cheese Croissant Bake

Ingredients

  • 3 large croissants
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg chopped ham
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (or use Cheddar)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half (or use whipping cream)
  • 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut or tear croissants into pieces; place in a greased 11-x 7-inch baking dish or 10-inch deep-dish pie plate. Top with ham and cheese.
  2. Whisk together eggs, cream, mustard, honey, salt, and pepper; pour over ham and cheese in dish. Cover and chill 8 to 24 hours, or freeze up to 1 month.
  3. From frozen, thaw overnight in refrigerator before baking.
  4. Preheat oven to 325°F. Bake, covered, 35 minutes.
  5. Uncover and bake 25 minutes longer or until browned and center is set.
