Sweet and Sticky Steak Bites
Mashed Potatoes and Cinnamon-Sugar Carrots
Ingredients
- 2 lb (2-inch-thick) boneless beef sirloin steak, cubed
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp pepper
- ¼ cup olive oil, divided
Instructions
- Combine steak and all remaining ingredients except oil in a large zip-top plastic bag; seal bag, and refrigerate at least 8 hours .
- Remove steak from marinade, discarding marinade. Cook half of steak in 2 Tbsp hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes per side or until cooked to desired doneness. Repeat with remaining oil and steak.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 (32-oz) pkg refrigerated mashed potatoes
- 2 tsp cinnamon sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 (16-oz) pkg baby carrots
Side Dish Instructions
- Bring carrots and water to cover to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat; reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until tender. Drain.
- Heat potatoes according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, combine lemon juice, butter, cinnamon sugar, and salt in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until butter melts. Add carrots; toss.
