Cheeseburger-Stuffed Shells

Ingredients

  • 4 oz jumbo shells
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • ⅓ cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup canned tomato sauce
  • 3 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ⅔ cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ⅓ cup dill pickle chips
  • 1 small Roma tomato, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta shells according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, cook beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and ⅓ cup cheese.
  3. Spoon mixture into pasta shells, and place, meaty side up, in a lightly greased small baking dish. Sprinkle with ⅓ cup cheese. Pour broth around pasta shells in dish.
  4. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top with lettuce, dill pickles, and tomato.



Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 hamburger buns, split
  • 1½ Tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler. Place buns, cut sides up, on a small baking sheet. Spread butter on buns; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Broil until toasted.
