Fancy Naan Grilled Cheese
Tomato Basil TossIngredients
- 5 Tbsp vegan butter, softened and divided
- 1 shallot, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp salt free garlic and herb seasoning blend
- 6 pieces whole grain naan, halved crosswise
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Melt 1 Tbsp butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat; add shallot and onion. Cook, stirring, 3 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine 4 Tbsp butter and seasoning; spread mixture on one side of each naan piece.
- Flip naan over; top half of naan pieces with onion mixture and cheese. Cover with remaining naan, butter sides up.
- Cook sandwiches, in batches, in skillet over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes per side or until golden and cheese melts.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 6 tomatoes, cut into chunks
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss together all ingredients in a medium bowl; season with salt and pepper, if desired.
