Beef Pot Pie over Flaky Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1½ tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 (10.5-oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1½ cups frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 cups frozen diced hash browns
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 6 frozen buttermilk biscuits

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  2. Add flour, garlic salt, and pepper; cook, stirring, 2 minutes. Stir in broth and soup; cook 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  3. Add peas and carrots, hash browns, and thyme. Cook for 15 minutes or until hash browns are tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Meanwhile bake biscuits according to package directions.
  5. Split biscuits and divide among 6 plates. Spoon beef mixture over biscuits.
