1½ lb ground beef (or use ground turkey or ground sausage)
½ cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 large egg, lightly beaten
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat broiler. Mix together beef, panko, seasoning, salt, pepper, and egg in a large bowl; shape into 18 meatballs.
Cook meatballs, in batches, in hot oil in a large cast-iron skillet 10 minutes per batch or until browned all over.
Return all meatballs to skillet. Stir in sauce; top with cheese. Transfer skillet to oven; broil 3 minutes or until cheese in lightly browned.
