Honey-Garlic Pork
Green Onion Rice and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 2 lb boneless pork chops, cubed
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup less sodium chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions
- Toss together pork, cornstarch, salt, and pepper until coated. Cook pork, in 2 batches, in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until browned and done.
- Meanwhile, stir together honey, broth, lemon juice, and garlic.
- Reduce heat to medium, and return all pork to skillet. Add honey mixture to skillet; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring to coat. Sprinkle with green onions and, if desired, red pepper.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
- 3 (3.5-oz) pouches boil in bag brown rice
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
- ¾ tsp salt, divided
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook rice according to package directions. Transfer hot cooked rice to a bowl; stir in oil, ¼ tsp salt, and onions.
- Cook broccoli according to package directions. Sprinkle with ½ tsp salt.
