Cheesy Pasta Al Forno Slab Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 oz rigatoni
  • ½ (16-oz) pkg ground sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 (8-oz) block mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain, rinse with cold water, and return to pot.
  2. Meanwhile, cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly.
  3. Add beaten egg to cooled pasta in pot, tossing to coat. Add marinara sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and seasoning; toss. Add sausage, stirring to combine. Stir in half of cheeses.
  4. Spread mixture in a greased 13-x 9-inch baking pan. Top with remaining cheese.
  5. Bake 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Cut into squares to serve.



Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg broccoli, cauliflower, and carrot medley
  • 1½ Tbsp olive oil

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss together all ingredients on a rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer. Bake 20 minutes or until vegetables are browned and tender. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
