Cinnamon Palmiers

Ingredients
- 2 frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom
Instructions
- Unfold pastry sheets and roll each into a 10- x 16-inch rectangle. Stir together sugar, cinnamon, and cardamom in a bowl.
- Brush both sides of pastry sheets with butter; sprinkle both sides generously with sugar mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Tightly roll one short end of 1 pastry sheet towards middle, stopping at center. Repeat with other side of pastry sheet. Repeat procedure with remaining pastry sheet. Wrap pastry logs in plastic wrap and refrigerate 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut pastry logs into ½-inch-thick slices; place on 2 large parchment paper-lined baking sheets. Bake 8 minutes. Carefully flip pastries over and bake 8 to 10 minutes longer or until golden and crisp.
