Chicken Cabbage Wraps
Gingered Sesame AsparagusIngredients
- 2 lb ground chicken
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup chopped fresh basil
- 1 (8-oz) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms, chopped
- 1 cup less sodium chicken broth
- ¼ cup less sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 large head napa cabbage, separated into leaves
Instructions
- Cook chicken and pepper in hot olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 8 minutes or until no longer pink, stirring to crumble.
- Transfer to a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker. Add onion, garlic, basil, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and broth. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours.
- Stir together chicken mixture, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and sesame oil. Serve in cabbage leaves.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1½ lb asparagus, trimmed
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup sliced green onions
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
Side Dish Instructions
- Stir in asparagus, salt, and pepper; cook, stirring often, 3 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Cook green onions and ginger in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 2 minutes.
