Homemade Beefaroni
Green Beans and Italian Bread
Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 3 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 (28-oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 2¾ cups beef broth
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook beef in a large, deep skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet.
- Add tomato paste; cook, stirring 2 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes and beef broth; bring to a boil. Stir in pasta, sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.
- Add cheeses; cover, and let stand until melted. Stir until blended.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 (8-oz) pkg thin green beans
- 1 (13.2-oz) can refrigerated crusty Italian loaf
Side Dish Instructions
- Steam green beans according to package directions; season with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Bake bread according to package directions.
