Skillet Chicken Pasta

Five-Cheese Bread

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce
  • ½ (16-oz) pkg penne pasta
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle chicken with seasoning and garlic salt. Cook chicken in hot oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat until browned.
  2. Add broth, marinara sauce, and pasta. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer. Cook, uncovered, 20 minutes, stirring often, until pasta is tender and sauce is slightly thickened. Stir in cheese.
  3. Meanwhile, melt butter in a small skillet. Add breadcrumbs, and cook over medium-high heat, stirring, until toasted. Sprinkle over pasta mixture.

  1. Bake bread according to package directions.
