Ingredients
- 12 tomatillos, husks removed
- 3 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced
- 1 cup loosely packed fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 cup chopped sweet onion
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Combine tomatillos and water to cover in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until tender. Drain well.
- Process tomatillos, jalapeños, and cilantro in a food processor or blender until chunky.
- Add onion, lime juice, salt, and pepper; pulse until combined. Store, covered, in refrigerator up to 1 week.
