Ingredients
- Dry-Rubbed Ribs:
- ½ cup paprika
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp salt
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp pepper
- 1 tsp celery salt
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 3 (2½ lb) racks baby back ribs
- Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce:
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1½ cups packed brown sugar
- ½ cup red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp ground mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- For Ribs: Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Pierce thin membrane on back of ribs with a sharp knife; peel off and discard.
- Stir together paprika, sugar, salt, garlic powder, pepper, celery salt, and cayenne; rub all over ribs. Grill ribs, 10 to 15 minutes per side or until browned. Remove from grill.
- Preheat oven to 300°F. Wrap rib racks individually in foil, and bake 2½ to 3 hours or until ribs are very tender. Serve with Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce recipe, if desired.
- For Sauce: Combine ketchup and remaining ingredients in a saucepan; cook, stirring, over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth. Store covered in refrigerator up to 1 week.
