Steel-Cut Oatmeal with Toppings Bar
Ingredients
- 3 cups 1% low-fat milk
- 1 cup uncooked steel-cut oats
- 2 Tbsp butter
- Toppings: dried cranberries, raisins, walnuts, almonds, brown sugar, honey, granola, bacon, strawberries, blueberries
Instructions
- Bring milk and 3 cups water to a boil in a large saucepan.
- Stir in oats and ¼ tsp salt; reduce heat to low.
- Simmer, uncovered, 25 to 30 minutes or until oats are cooked to desired texture, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in butter. Serve with desired toppings.
