Sloppy Joe Topped Cheese Toast

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can petite diced tomatoes
  • 1¼ cups ketchup
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (8-count) pkg garlic Texas toast
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, ketchup, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, bake toast according to package directions.
  5. Top with cheese, and bake 1 minute more or until cheese is melted.
  6. Place cheese toasts on serving plates and top with meat mixture.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 zucchini
  • 2 yellow squash
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cut each zucchini and squash lengthwise in half; cut crosswise into ½-inch pieces.
  2. Sauté zucchini and squash in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Sprinkle with garlic salt and Italian seasoning.
