Jamaican Jerk Turkey Wraps

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (20-oz) pkg lean ground turkey
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1½ Tbsp Jerk seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 head Bibb lettuce, leaves separated

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; cook 6 minutes or until onion is browned. Stir in ground turkey, lime juice, Jerk seasoning and oregano. Cook 8 minutes or until turkey is browned, stirring to crumble.
  2. Spoon turkey mixture onto lettuce leaves; roll up.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and cubed (see note)
  • 1 cucumber, seeded and grated
  • 1 avocado, pitted and diced

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Whisk together first 3 ingredients in a serving bowl. Add mangoes and cucumber, tossing well. Season to taste with salt.
  2. Stir in avocado just before serving.
