Loaded Taco Grilled Cheese
Lime Chipotle Sauce and French Fries
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (1-oz) pouch taco seasoning mix
- 1 (24-oz) pkg sliced bread
- 12 slices Monterey Jack cheese with peppers
- 1 avocado, peeled, pitted, and thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup butter, softened
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
- Add taco seasoning mix, and ⅓ cup water to skillet; cook over medium heat until beef mixture is thickened and most of liquid is evaporated.
- Top half of bread slices with 1 cheese slice and desired amount of taco meat.
- Arrange avocado, and tomato over meat. Top with remaining cheese slices.
- Cover with remaining bread slices.
- Spread softened butter over outsides of sandwiches.
- Cook sandwiches in a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat, 4 to 5 minutes per side or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
- Serve with Lime Chipotle Sauce for dipping.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- ½ tsp ground chipotle chile pepper
- 1 (32-oz) pkg seasoned French fries
Side Dish Instructions
- Stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, and chipotle pepper.
- Bake fries according to package directions.
